Q:  What is the Fiesta 5K and Fun Run?
A:  The Fiesta 5K and Fun Run is the spring fundraiser for the Huebner Elementary PTA.  In addition to raising funds to support PTA programs at Huebner, this event has turned into an annual tradition that brings together the Huebner community – families, teachers, and staff, as well as local business owners and community partners.  It encourages fitness and healthy living among our children and is, of course, a lot of good, family fun.

All proceeds benefit the programs of the Huebner Elementary PTA.  Some of these programs include:  Staff appreciation, campus improvements, funding for increased safety protocols, Art in the Classroom, off-campus field trips for every student, and continuing parent education.

Q: How do I register for the Huebner Elementary Fiesta 5K?
A: Click here to register online for the 5K and 1K:  https://runsignup.com/Race/TX/SanAntonio/HuebnerElementaryPTAFiesta5kandFunRun

Q: How much does registration cost?
A:     Registration Fees:
EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION Fees, February 22-March 19 = $24/racer
3/20-4/21 = $30/racer
Race Day = $30/racer
Help a Husky = $20/racer
Siesta Walk (Sleep in) = $24

The siesta walk is for anyone who would like to support the event, but can’t be there in person.

If you would like for your child to have a Dri-Fit race t-shirt** and race bib, they must be registered.

**If you want a guaranteed shirt size, you must register on or by Tuesday, March 19th**.

Q:  Do all registrants receive a t-shirt?
A:  All who register on or before March 19th will receive an official race shirt.  After that date, we will do our best to anticipate shirt orders, but we cannot guarantee that all orders can be fulfilled on race day.  Shirts that were not guaranteed will be handed out on a first come, first served basis at packet pick up.

Q: Is there a way to just purchase the t-shirt?
A:  If interested in the t-shirt, we recommend registering as a “Siesta” or Sleep-in registration on or before March 19th.  This will guarantee the registrant a t-shirt.

Q:  What if I can’t participate, but I’d still like to support the fundraiser?
A:  There are multiple ways to support the fundraiser through a sponsorship or cash donation.  To view sponsorship opportunities, please visit the sponsorship link on our PTA website at www.huebnerpta.org/fiesta5K.  If you would like to make a cash donation, please click on the DONATE link of the race registration website.

To support another Huebner Student’s participation, please select “Help a Husky”  during race registration, which will provide an official 2024 dri-fit Fiesta 5k race day t-shirt to a Huebner student who is unable to afford the registration fee.

We greatly appreciate your support at any level.

Q:  Is there a processing fee?
A:  Yes.  There is a racer fee of $2.50 added to each registration by RunSignup, our race registration management company.

Q:  When registering, should I list the teacher and class information of Huebner Elementary students on just their registration entry, or on all that are being processed?  A:  If you are participating in support of a Huebner student, please enter the student's grade and teacher name after EACH registrant on the checkout page.  This will ensure that he or she gets credit for any individual and class registration incentives. Plus, we will send swag bags home with that student by Monday, April 15th.
